my story
Originally from faraway Siberia, where I had spent my whole childhood and adolescence, I had quite a normal childhood being active and spending a lot of time outside. As a kid I was quite social and extraverted, although my struggles finding friends have already started since I always felt slightly different; I was much more sensitive than other kids in my class and my neighborhood. It wasn’t until I started high school that I began to form genuine, warm friendships. Around that time, I started showing the first signs of depression. Over time, I became more withdrawn, began skipping classes and developed unhealthy habits as a form of escapism of reality and my feelings. Somehow, I did well on all my exams, and later my life brought me to Austria, where I had spent my early adulthood studying, working, travelling and navigating immigration alone. Although on paper it all sounds wonderful, figuring it all out on my own was a lonely and stressful journey for the first couple of years. Constant paperwork, different culture, inability to “blend - in” though my willingness to belong and find friends was very high - all of that brought me even more into depression and unhealthy lifestyle. Until one day on my way back home I almost started crying thinking I can’t do this anymore and realistically I have two paths: Asking for help or keeping my self-destructive lifestyle. Later that year I was diagnosed with Bipolar 2 Disorder and started my healing journey changing my eating habits, doing more sports, cutting off alcohol and changing my mindset. And a year later, during another session of a doomscroll on Instagram, Universe showed me the video of Cat travelling on a train - and this is how it all began.
my mission
After meeting Cat and Ellie almost 3 years ago now, my life turned 180⁰ shifting the focus to living a more fulfilled lifestyle and educating myself more about my body and how to nurture it, so I dedicate a lot of time "studying" myself; because I believe this is the knowledge that I want to pass to my future kids for them to have a better health and better relationships with their bodies from the beginning. At the same time as I am going through second immigration and currently I can’t work, I am still in the process of figuring out how my knowledge & skills & passions that I have can bring me closer to my goal and how I can monetize it to make things happen. Given the uncertainty of my current situation, I’m learning to be resilient and accept things as they are, taking responsibility for my choices, although sometimes its very difficult to trust the process and sometimes it feels like Universe left me. In addition, as someone who recently got married, the stress of uncertainty has been pushing my husband and me beyond our limits in terms of vulnerability, acceptance and communication. We’re definitely learning a lot about ourselves both as a couple and individuals, which is bringing us even closer—something for which I’m incredibly grateful. I can't wait to see what the future holds.
my vision
The biggest gift in my life are the people around me. I am blessed with having the most wonderful husband with whom we share the same vision for the world: making a difference. For the future we see ourselves creating a community space somewhere next to the mountains with our own garden and land as a part of the ABD to give people room to connect with nature and with each other or simply to ground if the outside world gets too overwhelming.
